WEEK 5: PEACE
The Kingdom of God is a place of absolute peace.
WEEK 5: PEACE
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
John 16:33 “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulations. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Peace. Freedom from disturbance; tranquility. The gift of God and the fruit of a life filled with His Holy Spirit. (Gal. 5:22,23) Peace comes from the Lord to us for the purpose of dispensing to this hopeless, anxious, fearful and hostile world.
Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”
Romans 14:19 “…then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding”
James 3:18 “And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by thosae who make peace.”
The Kingdom of God is a place of absolute peace. Therefore, peace is one of the greatest gifts citizens of God’s Kingdom can give the world. This week our journey will take us through the process of peace which begins with transformation and restoration. When we are “whole” we can then make peace through our self-control, wisdom and unwavering quest for unity.
May the Lord give you His peace this week!
