WEEK 3: FAITH

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NKJV)

WEEK 3: FAITH

What can be added to that sentence? According to the Hebrew writer faith in God pleases Him. It causes Him to reward the seeking believer.

This week’s theme is “Faith”. Each day we will look at an essential Kingdom reality that focuses on the object of our faith. In addition, the rewards He works through our faith as seen in Hebrews 11:6.

Faith begins with the object, God Himself.  God is transcendent. In Isaiah 55:9 He says this about Himself: “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts…”. “In the beginning God” is how everything starts.

Faith in God begins with the simple reality that God is God and I am not, nor can I be.  Faith then moves us to place ourselves willing under God through submission. Next He rewards us through giving us His attributes. Those attributes include; Favor, Dependability and a Heart of Acceptance. It is these attributes that God displays to the world through us.

This process of faith and absolute dependence continues as we “diligently seek Him.” This can be achieved through prayerful lives.

May God bless and reward you on this week’s journey of faith.
