WEEK 6, DAY 40: Praise Him
Thanksgiving and Victory by Kenneth Grizzell, Greenwood Park Church of Christ
Scripture Reference: Psalm 148
Prayer
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise Him in the heights!
Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts!
Praise Him, sun and moon, praise Him, all you shining stars!
Praise Him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens!
Let them praise the name of the Lord! For He commanded and they were created.
And He established them forever and ever; He gave a decree, and it shall not pass away
Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all deeps, fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling His word!
Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars! Beasts and all livestock, creeping things and flying birds!
Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth!
Young men and maidens together, old men and children!
Let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted;
His majesty is above earth and heaven.”
Lord, we give praise to You and thank You. Today, as we praise You for our many blessings we ask You to protect those who are not as fortunate as us. Lord, we pray a special shield around the believers in places like North Korea.
Lord, for all of Your people now, I pray for victory. Victory in health, victory in finances, victory over sin and temptation, victory over personal struggles. Strengthen our homes and rule in our families. May each person have a vibrant, living and supernatural relationship with You. May each persona grow exponentially in their walk with You. May each person experience You and come to know You on levels unimaginable to the mere human mind. Lord, shake us. May Your Spirit be unleashed and fill us with the power and boldness of Pentecost. Fill us with the power of Your Holy Spirit and make us world-changers! Use us to set captives free, to lift burdens and destroy yokes and strongholds that come against You. Lord, we pray for a harvest of souls to taste the salvation of the Lord. Make us victorious in the name of our Conquering Lord and Savior: Jesus the Christ. Amen.
